My friend Keith and I decided to take the plunge this year and fly into Airventure…the worlds greatest aviation celebration.
We spent the past week planning the whole trip. Food, route, fuel, etc. Since this was both of our first time flying in, we were a little nervous about the flight. We left this morning about 10 am after a short delay due to fog. The flight was pretty uneventful and we got flight following most of the way. We saw lots of traffic on the way over, but once we got to Oshkosh the traffic was surprisingly light. We sequenced in at Ripon following a Mooney and at Fisk we were directed to Runway 36. Just inside Hwy 41 they cleared us to land on the yellow dot and Keith made a great landing.
Hold on…
Ok, there was just a big bang and John Travolta’s 707 had a compressor stall in one of the engines. Looks like they got it sorted and he just took off for home. Anyway, our campsite is about four aircraft in from the flightline. It doesn’t get any better. Well, I’m tired. Just wanted to give a quick update to let everyone know we got here safely and are having a blast! Here’s a picture of our campsite…wish you all were here with us!
Holy crap lions! Between our exhibit at Brickworld 2008 and the posting of a small sampling of our new LEGO MOC’s on Brickshelf & MOCPages,
we seem to be getting picked up by a couple of the online LEGO media outlets. How freakin’ cool is that!!! We’ve posted the links here and we have to give hugs, kisses, and fuzzy sharks out to “The Brothers Brick” and “Brick Town Talk” for recognizing our efforts. Thanks guys! You can check out the blog posts at the links below. And while you’re there, be sure to read about all the other amazing creations that LEGO fans all over the world are building. LEGO fans are some of the most creative minds in the world and you will be amazed at what people are building.

We also have about 10 MOC’s that are new and haven’t been photographed. We should be posting those over the next couple weeks on our MOCPages Page.
Toodles!
This will have to be quick post as I leave for a meeting in about 30 minutes and still have to change into Dave “The Businessman” before I leave.
I’ve spent the past four days in Seattle and I love it! What’s not to love? I think I can handle the cloudy days just because t
